Ambassador strengthened relations with Mitsubishi Motors’ Executives

On 16 March 2023,Mr. YATABE Yoichirou, Representative Executive Officer and Executive Vice President of Sales of Mitsubishi Motors, together with his delegation, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, to bid farewell and to introduce Mr. NAKAMURA Tatsuo, Senior Executive Officer of Sales Strategy, who will be taking his position. On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed his appreciation towards Mr. YATABE for the continued active cooperation with the Embassy and the Office of Economic and Investment of the Embassy.
Both sides also exchanged views on various issues, especially on the company’s plan to manufacture battery electric vehicles (BEV) under the BOI investment promotion certification. They also touched upon the collaboration that Mitsubishi Motors has with PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Co., Ltd.(OR) and Thailand Post in using BEV vehicles for postal delivery in Pattaya. Such cooperation is aimed to promote an environmental-friendly postal system based on the BCG Economy model and the practical use of electric vehicles in Thailand.
