Ambassador held a discussion with Mitsubishi Corporation Executives

On 17 March 2023, Mr. KONDO Kyoya, Senior Vice President of Isuzu Business Division of Mitsubishi Corporation, and his delegation, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, to introduce Mr. SATO Hiroyasu, the new President of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) and Mr. MATSUMOTO Arihito, who will soon take the Chief Operation Officer position of UNIQLO (Thailand). Both sides had a friendly discussion on mutual cooperation between the Embassy and Mitsubishi Corporation.

On this occasion, the Ambassador also provided information on the increase of outbound investment by the Thai private sector, in which Mr. KONDO expressed interest in building a network with Thai companies in Japan, as well as facilitating their investment here. The Mitsubishi Corporation executive also showed interest in joining the Japan-Thailand Business Forum (JTBF), as introduced by the Ambassador, to further promote economic relations between the two countries.
