Minister gave Opening Remarks at the Seminar on Bio-Economy Business Opportunity in Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC)

On 23 March 2023, Ms. Prangtip Kanchanahattakij, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, was invited to give opening remarks for the seminar on “Bio-Economy Business Opportunity in Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC)” at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) head office.
On this occasion, the Minister emphasized the longstanding friendship between Thailand and Japan, as well as the contribution of Japanese investment to the Thai Economy. She then touched upon the BCG Economy Model, which is Thailand's national agenda for sustainable development, highlighting the bio-economy in Thailand. Indeed, Thailand possess great potential for developing the bio-economy as the country has rich and diverse national resources, and the government has put an effort into advancing this sector for decades.
