Ambassador welcomed Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS) Executives

On 1 June 2023, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, welcomed Ms. Poramaporn Prasarttong-Osoth, M.D., President of the Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Group (BDMS) and executives of affiliated hospitals at the Thai residence.

The two sides discussed cooperation that BDMS has with various medical and health authorities in Japan. This visit serves to enhance the BDMS’ collaboration with the National Cancer Center Hospital and Yamagata University to disseminate cancer knowledge and expertise in Thailand, supporting BDMS’ goal to become a leading health organization in cancer treatment in Thailand and Asia Pacific. Both sides also agreed that focusing on wellness and preventive medicine is a key element in promoting Thailand’s medical tourism, which is one of the strategic areas of the BCG (Bio-Circular-Green) economy model.
