Ambassador delivered an opening remarks at the 11th Thai Festival in Sendai

On June 10, 2023, H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, delivered remarks at the opening ceremony of the 11th Thai Festival in Sendai. Ambassador Singtong expressed his appreciation to the Organising Committee for their hard work in organising the festival, which is a symbol of close ties between Thailand and Sendai.

The festival was held during 10-11 June 2023 at Sendai Civic Square, Kotodai Park with a total of 35 Thai restaurants and shops selling Thai products. The festival featured Thai traditional dance performance, Muay Thai demonstration and synchronised acrobatic gymnastics by Sato Triplets - ‘Thailand Tourism Ambassador in Japan’. At least 40,000 visitors participated in this 2-day festival. This year, the Royal Thai Embassy established an exhibition booth to showcase BCG Economy Model. The Tourism Authority of Thailand, Tokyo Office, also set up an exhibition booth to promote Thai Tourism.
