Ambassador Singtong expressed his pleasure of being able to revisit Sendai to strengthen the relations between Thailand and the Association. He also expressed his appreciation to the Association for organizing activities to promote cordial ties between Thailand and Sendai at all levels, including government, private sector and people. Ambassador also thanked the Association for organising the 11^th Thai Festival in Sendai on
10-11 June 2023. The Association has played an active role for more than 10 years in promoting amicable relations between Thailand and Japan.

Following the General Meeting, Ambassador attended the reception to kick-off Thai Festival in Sendai at Palace Heian event hall. The reception was also attended by Mr. IKEDA Noriyuki, Vice Governor of Miyagi Prefecture, Ms. KOORI Kazuko, Mayor of Sendai City and Mr. SHOJI Keisuke, Chairperson of the 11^th Thai Festival in Sendai 2023, and the director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, Tokyo Office.

Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the Organizing committee and Sendai City for supporting the Thai Festival in Sendai. It is one of the very few Thai Festivals that are supported by local governments. Ambassador reiterated his readiness to cooperate with Sendai City and the Organizing committee for the continuation of the Festival in the future.
