On the first day, Ambassador Singtongpaida courtesy call on Governor Mieko Yoshimura at the Yamagata Prefectural Office. Both sides exchanged their views on economic cooperation between Thailand and Yamagata Prefecture, the promotion of tourism, and the expansion of sports, education, and cultural exchanges. During the visit, the delegation also had the opportunity to visit Yamagata Shimbun's MachinakaMetavers, a station to promote digitalisation, which offered a VR experience to public. Apart from the awe-inspiring locations in Yamagata Prefecture, Yamagata Shimbun also showcased theThai Tourism VR for one week in honour of the visit of the Thai Ambassador.

On the same day, the Ambassador attended the general meeting followed by the Yamagata-Thai Friendship Association dinner reception at Yamagata Grand Hotel. During the event, he delivered a lecture on Thailand's BCGeconomic model and sustainable exchanges between Thailand and Japan in the new era. He also sharedthe latest information on the Thai economy and expectation towards Japanese companies. The Ambassador expressed his gratitude towards Chairman Koji Sagae, the Yamagata-Thai Friendship Association, and the Shonai Bank for their efforts in fostering a closer relationship between Yamagata Prefecture and Thailand.
On the second day, the delegation visited a cherry farm which are a delicacy ofYamagata Prefecture. Later onthat day, the delegation headed to Yamagata University's Faculty of Engineering and visit the Innovation Center for Organic Electronics (INOEL), the Smart MIRAI House, and the Organic Materials Center. The university is known for its research and development of plastic materials, including resins, polymers, and organic materials, and is actively pursuing to commercialize this technology. The University works closely with Alphatech Co., Ltd., a start-up that was started by Yamagata University, to promote a business that uses a gelation technology to tackle the world's food shortages and environmental issues. During the visit, Ms. ApakornThongmeepech, a Thai student studying in the doctoratecourse at the Graduate School of Organic Materials Science, gave the delegation presentation on Yamagata University’s research.

The Faculty of Engineering at Yamagata University has been collaborating with Shonai Bank through an industry-academia cooperation agreement since 2006. Additionally, the university has been engaged in academic exchanges with Thai universities and research institutes since 2008. Currently, Yamagata University has established partnership with 16 Thai universities.
