MUFG Executives Paid Courtesy Call on Ambassador

On 14 July 2023, Mr. ITAGAKI Yasushi, Chief Executive of Global Commercial Banking Business Unit, Mitsubishi UFG Financial Group (MUFG) paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singting Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, to introduce himself after the recent appointment.
Both of them discussed MUFG’s investment in Thailand under the “Bank of Ayudhya” brand. The investment in Thailand is going well and is conducting a campaign to promote tourism in Japan. They also mentioned about the Japan-ASEAN Startup Business Matching Fair 2023 in Thailand which is an event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ASEAN-Japan relations and to connect Thailand with ASEAN countries.
On this occasion, the Ambassador reiterated his appreciation towards MUFG for providing funds to support Thai students in Japan during the COVID-19 pandemic.
