Miss Grand Japan Delegation paid a courtesy call on Ambassador

On 3 August 2023, Ms. INODA Eriko and Mr. YOSHII Yutaro, Executives of Miss Grand Japan pageant, along with Ms. MACHIDA Yayoi, Miss Grand Japan 2023, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, to discuss ways to promote Thailand through the beauty contest. Ms. MACHIDA, is scheduled to receive private training in Thailand from August to September 2023 before entering the Miss Grand International pageant, which will take place on 26 October 2023 in Vietnam.
“Miss Grand International” pageant was founded by Mr. Nawat Isarakraisil, a Thai businessman in 2013 with an aim to elevate the standard of beauty pageant in Thailand to the international standard. “Miss Grand” pageants are first held in each country. Only the winning beauty queens from each country are qualified to compete again at the “Miss Grand International” pageant.
Until now, the Miss Grand Japan pageant has been organised for six times by Ms. INODA Eriko. Mister Gay Japan contest was first introduced in 2022 to promote equality and show support for the LGBTQ+ community. This year, the final round of both pageants was held together for the first time on 16 August 2023 at FM HALL, Tokyo.
