Ambassador Presented a trophy at the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament 2023

On 24 September 2023, H.E. Ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, attended the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament 2023 at Tokyo’s Ryogoku Kokugikan. The Ambassador presented the Thailand - Japan Friendship Cup to Sumo Champion - Mr.Ozeki TAKAKEISHO from Hyoko prefecture who won the highest division of the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament.
The presentation of the Thailand-Japan Friendship Trophy to the winner of Grand Sumo Tournaments held in Tokyo started in 2017 when Thailand and Japan celebrated their 130th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic relations.
