The Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo dispatched the second batch of essential relief items for humanitarian assistance to those affected by the recent earthquake in Ishikawa Prefecture on 16 January 2024

On 16 January 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo and relevant private companies based in Japan joined forces in dispatching the second batch of essential relief items for humanitarian assistance to those affected by the recent earthquake in Ishikawa Prefecture, in addition to the relief items sent earlier on 10 January 2024. The relief efforts have been carrying out in collaboration with the Non-Profit Organization (NPO) “YOU-I” and other related NPOs in the area.

The second batch of relief items supported by the Royal Thai Embassy in total of 285 boxes includes 500 Thai canned fish sets; 500 bottles of 2-litre drinking water; assorted snacks; medicines and household essentials such as cold and fever relief medicines, Thai herbal “Fah Ta Lai Jone” capsules for sore throat, wet tissues. In addition, Thai private companies based in Japan such as PK Siam provided generous support to the affected communities comprising of 1,200 Thai instant noodle cups; 2,400 bottles of Thai coconut juice; 1,200 cartons of “Malee” orange juice. Also, Kitoku Shinryo, a Japanese company, supported 260 packs of hot-packed boiled rice and 240 packs of sticky rice. Furthermore, Wonnapob Company, a Thai company based in Japan, will dispatch additional 4,000 packs of Thai rice, in total of 20,000 kilograms, by the end of this week.

This collaborative effort reflects the commitment of both the Thai government and the Thai private entities to stand in solidarity, providing essential relief to ease the challenges faced by the recent earthquake in Ishikawa Prefecture.
