Chargé d'Affaires ad interim attended the Appointment Ceremony of the Tourism Promotion Coordinator, under the Friends from Thailand (FFT) Program at Hokuto City

On 15 January 2024, Ms. Prangtip Kanchanahattakij, Chargé d'affaires, a.i., of the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo, attended the appointment ceremony of the Tourism Promotion Coordinator at the Hokuto City Hall, Yamanashi Prefecture. At the ceremony, Mr. KAMIMURA Eiji, Mayor of Hokuto City, presented a certificate to Ms. Unchaleeporn Prisawong, a volunteer under the Friends From Thailand (FFT) program.

Administered by the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, the FFT Program has commenced in Japan since 2022. Hokuto City’s FFT program is the first long-term program in which Ms. Unchaleeporn Prisawong will serve for one year, from December 2023 to December 2024. Both the Mayor and Chargé d'Affaires are confidence that the FFT program will play a great role in promoting Hokuto’s tourism as well as people-to-people relations between Thailand and Japan.
