President of Sumitomo Forestry paid a courtesy call on Ambassador

On 3 April 2024, Mr. MITSUYOSHI Toshiro, President of Sumitomo Forestry, and his delegation, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan. Both sides exchanged views on the company’s business and investment in Thailand. In particular, the Ambassador was impressed with Sumitomo Forestry’s advanced technology which involves comprehensive construction activities with the utilization of wooden materials. The Ambassador also advised that the company’s decarbonization strategy is in line with Thailand’s policy and, therefore, the company could be entitled to receive investment incentives from the Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI).
