Courtesy call on Ambassador by representatives from Japan Atomic Energy Agency

On 19 April 2024, Mr. NAKANO Yoshihiro, Director of Nuclear Human Resource Development Center (NuHRDeC) of Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA), and his team paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan.

The purpose of this visit is to introduce the agency and the “Instructor Training Program” - a training the trainer course. The program’s objective is to enable the participants to run a training course in their home countries. Thai nuclear researchers have been participating in this training program since the beginning of the program in 1996. The said program is one of the important cooperation activities between Thailand and Japan in the area of nuclear-energy capacity building. The Ambassador and NuHRDeC representatives also exchanged views on nuclear energy developments in Japan and in ASEAN countries.
