Ambassador discussed with CEO of Banpu Japan

On 17 April 2024, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, welcomed Mr. Niti Pitakteeratham , a newly appointed CEO of Banpu Japan, and his executives for a courtesy visit. The Ambassador congratulated Mr. Pitakteeratham as the first Thai CEO of the company. Both sides exchanged views on Banpu’s investment on energy sector in Japan, which currently focuses on solar energy and aims to expand to other energy-related businesses, particularly high capacity battery production. On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed the Embassy’s readiness to support Banpu Japan, which would serve as Thailand’s new engine of growth into the future.
