Ambassador strengthened relationship with President of Japan-Thailand Economic Cooperation Society (JTECS)

On 18 April 2024, Mr. KUWATA Hajime, President of Japan-Thailand Economic Cooperation Society (JTECS), together with JTECS executives, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan. Both sides discussed decade-long cooperation between Thailand and JTECS. The Ambassador expressed appreciation towards JTECS’s role of human resources development in Thailand, which is one of the fundamentals of Thailand-Japan relations and resulted in the advancement of various industries. Furthermore, the Ambassador valued JTEC’s internship programs and reiterated the Embassy’s readiness to work with JTECs in promoting economic relations between the two countries as well as to further expand the networks of “Friends of Thailand” and “Friends of Japan”.
