31/05/2024

On 31 May 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy organised the “Clean-up Community Service to Improve the Embassy’s Neighbourhood” activity to honour Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty’s Birthday Anniversary on 3 June 2024. H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, led approximately 30 volunteers, including the officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand and their spouses, together with the Shinagawa City sanitation officers, in cleaning up public spaces by collecting waste and rubbish along the streets in front of the Royal Thai Embassy leading up to Meguro train station. The activity attracted attention from passers-by, notably residents in the neighbourhood, who expressed their gratitude and appreciation to volunteers for sanitising the areas and improving their living condition. The Shinagawa City also broadcast the cleanup activity on a local channel.
