Ambassador welcomes Delegation of the Judges Class 9 (Group III)

On 18 July 2024, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, welcomed Mr. Kittipong Siriroj, Vice-President of the Supreme Court and Mr. Pitak Limjanon, Secretary of the Supreme Court who led the Delegation of the Judges Class 9 (Group III) for a study visit to Japan. Ambassador briefed the delegation on the Embassy’s roles in giving protection and care of Thai nationals in Japan, cases of legal violation, and juridical processes of Japan’s law enforcement agencies. Both sides also exchanged views on juridical cooperation among ASEAN+3 countries.

Currently, Thailand and Japan is under negotiation process of Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters (MLAT) to strengthen cooperation on criminal law.
