Representative from the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo attended the first regular session of the Assembly of Thai Monks in Japan for the year 2024 at Wat Phra Chetuphon in Narita, Chiba Prefecture

On 13 July 2024, Ms. Urawat Sukseangdow, Minister Counsellor, represented the Royal Thai Embassy, Tokyo, in attending the first regular session of the Assembly of Thai Monks in Japan for the Year 2024. The meeting was held at Wat Phra Chetuphon in Narita, Chiba Prefecture, to provide an opportunity for Thai monks in Japan and those in Thailand to exchange knowledge and experiences in disseminating Buddhism abroad. The meeting was presided over by Somdet Phramahathirachan, the abbot of Wat Phra Chetuphon in Bangkok. It was attended by over 130 monks from Thailand and Thai temples in Japan, as well as approximately 50 Buddhist fellows.
