Seminar to promote the expansion of the Thai volunteer network in Japan and presentation of “Volunteer Consul Award 2023”

On 15 July 2024, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, delivered opening remarks at the opening ceremony of a seminar on “Uniting the Volunteer Spirit of Thais in Japan” and “Opportunities in the Tourism Business in Japan” at the Embassy’s hall. The event was attended by 60 participants, both on-site and online.

On this occasion, the Ambassador presented a brooch of honor and a certificate of appreciation to the “Volunteer Consuls for the year 2023” namely : (1) Asst. Prof. Dr. Rujirat Vinitphol from Tokyo, (2) Miss Kitiya Jutipakwutipong from Chiba, and (3) Mr. Samut Tungsaleekased from Hokkaido.

The Volunteer Consul Award is initiated by the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, to recognise, both Thai and foreign individuals who have dedicated themselves to support the consular work of Thai Embassies and Consulates abroad.
