The Royal Thai Embassy hosted annual activity “ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT) Family Day 2024”

On 21 September 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo organized the ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT) Family Day 2024 at Kasai Rinkai Park. The event was well attended by over 300 participants, including diplomats, families and staff of ASEAN embassies in Japan as well as private sectors. Also attended were Mr. HIRABAYASHI Kunihiko, Secretary-General of ASEAN-Japan Centre, and the representatives from the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste who were invited to the event for the first time.

On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, delivered a welcome remark stressing on the importance of this annual event on strengthening and showcasing solidarity and unity among the members of ASEAN countries. H.E. Mrs. Phongsamouth ANLAVAN, Ambassador of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Japan, as the current Chair of ACT, expressed her appreciation to Thailand in organising the said event and to all ASEAN embassies for their active participation.
