Minister and DCM presides over the opening ceremony of Tourism Expo Japan 2024

On 26 September 2024, Ms. Prangtip Kanchanahattakij, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, and Mr. Chuwit Sirivajjakul, Executive Director for East Asia Region, Tourism Authority of Thailand, co-presided over the opening ceremony of the Thai Pavilion at Tourism Expo Japan 2024, held from 26 - 28 September 2024 at Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo. The design of the Thai Pavilion this year was inspired by the SRT Royal Blossom tourist train, which was modified from the train acquired from JT Hokkaido and launched its service in the central region of Thailand in August 2024. There were 10 tourism-related businesses and 3 airlines from Thailand participating in the Expo.

On this occasion, DCM Prangtip, together with the representatives of Tourism Authority of Thailand, also gave an interview to a Japanese media in order to invite more tourists from Japan to visit Thailand.
