Ambassador visits Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s Okazaki Plant

On 3 October 2024, at the invitation of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, H.E. Mr. Ambassador Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, Mr. Kittiphan Bangyikhan, Minister Counsellor for Industrial Affairs, and the officials of the Royal Thai Embassy, visited Okazaki Plant in Aichi Prefecture, which is the prototype of MMC’s overseas manufacturing plants. The Thai delegation was welcomed by Mr. YAMAMOTO Yasuhisa, Executive Officer responsible for Production.

During the said visit, the delegation received a briefing on the company's monozukuri (manufacturing philosophy), toured the facility, including the research and development centre on vehicle design and development, as well as observed the manufacturing process in the factory. Ambassador Witchu and the Embassy delegation also participated in a test drive of Mitsubishi vehicles.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation has long history of its investment in Thailand which serves as the company's largest overseas production base.
