On 15 December 2024, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, officially opened “Kad Kokoa Japan”, Thailand’s first specialty chocolate café in Japan, located in Sumida City, Tokyo. He was joined by Mr. INABA Kazuhiro, Member of the Sumida City Assembly, and Mr. Takahashi Junichi, Head of the Cultural and Arts Promotion Division of Sumida City, Ms. Panupan Chandhrapanya, Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Tokyo Office, and Mr. and Ms. Junhasavasdikul, the founders of Kad Kokoa.

Kad Kokoa Japan is the fruit of the close collaboration between Thai and Japanese partners who have firm determination to introduce the rich flavours and exceptional quality of the sustainably-produced Thai craft chocolate in order to make it more widely known to both Japanese and non-Japanese in Japan.

On this occasion, Ambassador Witchu congratulated and commended Kad Kokoa Japan as an admirable joint venture expansion that testifies to the necessity of mutual trust and support, as well as friendly partnership between the Thai and the Japanese entrepreneurs.
