Ambassador welcomes Secretary-General of the Agricultural Land Reform Office (ALRO)

On 27 February 2025, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, welcomed and held a discussion with Mr. Sedthakiat Krajangwongs, Secretary-General of the Agricultural Land Reform Office (ALRO), and his delegation at the Royal Thai Embassy.
Also present in the meeting were Ms. Chawanis Chawanawong, Minister Counsellor, and Mrs. Boondharika Krajangwongs, Minister Counsellor (Agricultural).

The Secretary-General of ALRO informed the Ambassador that the purpose of the visit to Japan was to gain knowledge on Japan’s agricultural financial support and loan mechanisms from relevant Japanese agricultural financial institutions. On this occasion, the Ambassador and the ALRO delegation discussed ways to develop and modernise Thailand’s agricultural sector in terms of farmer supporting measures, product quality and pricing improvement, as well as the strengthening of an alumni of Thai agricultural trainees in Japan in such a way that its members will be encouraged to share and exchange more of their experiences and knowledge of modern agricultural techniques and to foster closer people-to-people ties between Thailand and Japan.
