Ambassador attends the 18th Japan International MANGA Award Ceremony

On 12 March 2025, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, attended the award ceremony for the winners of the 18th Japan International Manga Award at Iikura Guest House. The awards were presented by H.E. Mr. FUJII Hisayuki, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan. On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed his congratulations to Mr. Preecha Jai-ordthon, Thai manga artist who won the Silver Award for his work titled “RISE POLLY”. A total of 716 entries from 95 countries and economies participated in this year’s competition.

The Japan International Manga Award has been organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan since 2007 in order to promote cultural appreciation and exchanges between Japan and other countries through manga.
