Press Conference for the 25th Thai Festival Tokyo

On 22 April 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy held a press conference for the 25th Thai Festival Tokyo. The event was well-attended by more than 50 local media, influencers and invited guests.

The 25th Thai Festival Tokyo will take place on 10 - 11 May 2025 at Yoyogi Park, Tokyo, organized by the Executive Committee for the 25th Thai Festival Tokyo, comprising the Royal Thai Embassy, TSP Taiyo, Kyodo Osaka and ON THE LINE. Team Thailand in Japan, namely the Office of Commercial Affairs, the Office of Agricultural Affairs and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Tokyo Office, as well as the Creative Economy Agency will also participate in this year’s Thai Festival.

In his remarks, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, highlighted the continued success of the Thai Festival Tokyo, attributing it to the warm and enthusiastic welcome from the Japanese visitors as well as expatriates residing in Tokyo and its vicinity. He stressed the importance of the Festival in fostering ties and mutual appreciation between the peoples of Japan and Thailand. The Ambassador also introduced this year’s theme, namely “Creative Thailand” which will showcase Thailand’s inventiveness through a variety of products that blends creativity and Thai local wisdom, which would complement the Festival’s well-known appeal, namely Thai cuisine, arts and culture as well as tourism. On behalf of the organizers, Mr. IKEZAWA Yoshinori, President of TSP Taiyo, in his speech, reaffirmed their commitments to successfully organise the Thai Festival Tokyo as well as other side events to offer the visitors a comprehensive experience of Thailand’s soft power.

This year, the Royal Thai Embassy is continuing the “May is Thai Month” campaign, featuring a series of Thai Festivals and Thailand-related events across Japan, for example, the Thai Festivals in Nagoya on 17 - 18 May, Osaka and Fukuoka both on 24 - 25 May, Sendai on 7 - 8 June, and Saga on 17 - 18 October.
