A Workshop on “Enhancing the Capacityof Thai Volunteer Leaders”

On 17–18 May 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo, together with the Thai Network in Japan, organized a workshop on “Enhancing the Capacity of Thai Volunteer Leaders” in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture.Dr. PrawateTantipiwatanaskul, former psychiatrist from the Department of Mental Health, was invited as the speaker. Forty-three (43) Thai volunteers from various regions participated in the workshop, which was also attended by Ms. Pattarawan Na Nakorn, Consul, and staff from the Embassy’s Consular Section.

The activity, initiated by Thai volunteer leaders, is aimed to empower current volunteers and inspire a new generation of leaders to carry on the volunteer work. The project aligns with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand's policy to build a strong Thai community and improve consular services through partnership with volunteer networks.
