Ambassador meets with President of Chulalongkorn University

On 12 May 2025, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, welcomed Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, who led the Chulalongkorn Thai Youth Orchestra (ChulaThaiYO) to perform Thai traditional music and dance at the 25th Thai Festival Tokyo from 10–11 May 2025. Also present in the meeting were university executives, faculty members and student representatives.
The Ambassador expressed his appreciation to Chulalongkorn University for ChulaThaiYO’s participation in the Thai Festival Tokyo and commended its performances which received positive feedback from festival visitors. Both sides also exchanged views on future collaborative activities between the Embassy and Chulalongkorn University to commemorate the 140th anniversary of the establishment of Thailand-Japan diplomatic relations in 2027, such as academic seminars.
