Chief Representative, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Thailand Office, pays a courtesy call on Ambassador

On 2 October 2025, Mr. SAKUDO Shunsuke, Chief of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Thailand Office, had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, at the Royal Thai Embassy. Mr. Sakudo updated the Ambassador about JICA’s current activities in Thailand, 30–40 percent of which involve science and technology collaboration while others include trilateral cooperation in assisting third countries. Both sides also discussed ways to enhance their cooperation to commemorate the 140^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Japan (in 2027). They also exchanged views on Thailand–Cambodia border situation and how to manage its possible impacts on JICA’s projects in the region.
