Ambassador welcomes Chairperson of Nagano Convention & Visitors Bureau and Representative Director of Zenkoji Temple

On 6 November 2025, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, welcomed the visit to the Embassy by Mr. HIGUCHI Hiroshi, Chairperson of Nagano Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Venerable WAKAOMI Takanori, Representative Director of Zenkoji Temple.

On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed his appreciation to Nagano City and Zenkoji Temple for their long-standing and close cooperation with Thailand, especially in the areas of tourism and culture, which has contributed to the strengthening of mutual appreciation between the Thai and Japanese peoples. Both sides also exchanged views on potential areas of future cooperation between Thailand and Nagano City such as smart agriculture, food processing industry, public health and elderly care. They also discussed potential activities to commemorate the 140th anniversary of the establishment of Thailand-Japan diplomatic relations in 2027.
