On the evening of 22 December 2025, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, attended the Friendship Concert, a collaborative performance by the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (RBSO) and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra (TSO), at the Muza Kawasaki Symphony Hall, Kanagawa Prefecture.
The Friendship Concert was held as part of the TSO’s Asia Project, which promotes cultural exchanges and music education cooperation between Japan and the Asian region. During the concert, the orchestra performed “Alexandra”, a royal composition by His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, celebrating the close cultural and musical cooperation between Thailand and Japan, as well as between the leading musical organisations of the two countries.
Prior to the performance, the Ambassador had the opportunity to meet and share views on cooperation in the fields of culture and music with executives from both orchestras, including Mr. Hirooka Yoshitaka, Managing Director of the TSO, and Mr. Wanchai Yanubol, General Manager of the RBSO.
