2014.01.20 Reimportation of Thai raw chicken to Japan celebration

On 20 January 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo, together with the Office of Commercial Affairs and the Office of Agricultural Affairs in Tokyo, held Yakitori Party to celebrate the reimportation of Thai raw chicken meat to Japan.
Ambassador Thanatip Upatising, as well as Dr. Tristsadee Chaosuancharoen, Director-General of the Department of Livestock Development, Mrs. Nuntawan Sukantanaga, Director General Department of International Trade Promotion, and Dr. Anan Sirimongkolkasem, President of Thai Broiler Processing Exporter Association, presided over the opening ceremony. Over 200 guests included Japan’s related government representatives, Thailand’s import-export firm representatives and restaurant owners who use chicken in their menus. VDO presentation on Thailand’s standardized and safety-focused raw chicken meat processing and Thai and Japanese dishes cooked with Thai chicken meat such as grilled chicken, green curry, kaprao-kai, and laab-kai were provided.
