2014.01.25 5th Thailand-Gakugeifuzoku (Tokyo Gakugei University Senior High School) no Kai

On 25 January 2014, the 5th Thailand-Gakugeifuzoku no Kai (alumni gathering) was held at the hall of the newly-built Royal Thai Embassy, Tokyo.  From the Thai side, Mr. Singtong Lapisatepun, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, diplomats who graduated from the school and current students participated.  Mr. Kazuo Harada, Headmaster of the school, Mr. Hiroshi Kawasumi, deputy master, Ms. Reiko Noguchi, President of the alumni association, and Mme. Kiyoko Fukuda (spouse of former Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Yasuo Fukuda) were among the Japanese participants.  On the day, there was also a report on exchange programme with Princess Chulabhorn Science College, Chiang Rai, held on 4-11 January 2014, as Tokyo Gakugei University Senior High School was designated as super science high school.

Tokyo Gakugei University Senior High School has a long history of exchanges with Thailand and has been accepting Thai students who receive scholarship from the Thai Government since 1975.  As of today, more than 130 Thai students graduated from the school.
