2014.06.14-15 10th Thai Festival in Nagoya

On 14 June 2014, Ambassador Thanatip Upatising and his spouse, Mme Monthip Upatising, attended the opening ceremony of the 10th Thai Festival in Nagoya.  The event was held at Hisayadori Park, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture during 14-15 June 2014 with Yamamori Inc. as the main organizer, supported by the Royal Thai Embassy.  In this occasion, Ambassador gave an opening speech together with other Japanese guests such as Yamamori Inc.’s President and Aichi Governor.

This year, the Royal Thai Embassy displayed Thai herbs and spices, which play important roles in Thai cuisine, while introducing their usage in other areas such as spa, beauty and other daily products.

At the same time, the Embassy arranged consular services for Thai community in Aichi Prefecture and nearby to provide services on passport, legal documents and living guidance.  The Office of Labour Affairs also assisted in consultation on working in Japan.

The festival showcased Thai food and products, including Thailand promotion by the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Thai Airways International.
