2014.07.11 Ambassador visited Oita Prefecture

After the visits to Nagasaki, Saga and Fukuoka in last year, in order to strengthen the relationship between Thailand and Kyushu region, Ambassador Thanatip Upatising officially paid his first visit to Oita prefecture on 11 July, 2014

Ambassador met with Mr. Katsusada Hirose, Governor of Oita prefecture. Governor Hirose took this opportunity to express his appreciation for the donation from Thai people when Oita faced a flood disaster in 2012. At the end of the meeting, ambassador Thanatip affirmed that the current political coup neither had any effect on country’s major economic policies nor disrupted the operations of Japanese companies in Thailand. Thai government is ensuring that the Japanese residing in Thailand are well protected.


Ambassador met with the governor of Oita prefecture

Visit the ancient style rice paddy at Kunisaki Penninsula, Usa city, Oita prefecture. This landscape was designated as the Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) in May 2013
