2014.08.07 Embassy held seminar on Thai massage shops standard

On 7 August 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy held a seminar on developing standard for Thai massage shops in Tokyo and nearby at the embassy’s hall.  Dr.  Akom Praditsuwan, Director of the Sanatorium and the Arts of Healing Bureau and Miss Suwaporn Naewchampa, Head of Health Supporting Business Group, who both are under the Department of Health Service Support, Ministry of Health, shared information with approximately 60 participants.

The speakers explained about the state’s program in developing and assessing standard and for Thai massage shops abroad, including Japan.  It is believed that foreign customers will be more confident in Thai massage shops that are approved by the Thai government.  In the last session, Ms. Thitiporn Inthuput and Mr. Thanasap Lawichai, Thai massage shop owners in Japan, shared their experience and advice in running Thai massage business in Japan, followed by discussion between speakers and participants.  At the end, the participants formed a group literally called “Thai massage association in Japan” to empower the business owners in Japan.
