Thai Ambassador was conferred Imperial Decoration

On the 15^th January 2015, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Minoru Kiuchi acting on behalf of the Emperor of Japan, presided over the ceremony to bestow upon H.E. Mr. Thanatip Upatising, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, “the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun” 旭日大綬章 (Kyokutsujitsu dai jyushou)

Mr. Kiuchi took the opportunity to congratulate Mr. Thanatip on this auspicious occasion and commended him for his significant roles in promoting Thailand-Japan, both at governmental and local local level. Mr. Kiuchi also expressed his gratitude for Ambassador’s earnest efforts and self-sacrifice during his tenure in Japan.

Ambassador of Thailand to Japan expressed his deep gratitude to His Majesty the Emperor of Japan for granting him this privilege and emphasized that he has performed his duty basing on the principle that Thailand`s Progress is Japan`s Prosperity. He reassured that he will continue to promote better understanding and elevate the bilateral cooperation. Despite his termination, he assured that Japanese side that Japan would have one more sincere Friend of Japan from the other side of the world.
