On 13-14 March 2015, Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha attended the 3th United Nations World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (3WCDRR) in Sendai, Japan which was his second official visit to Japan after his first official visit during 8-10 Feb. 2015.On the 14 March, at the 3WCRDD Prime Minister Prayuth delivered a statement emphasizing on Thailand’s role in disaster risk reduction and prevent and preparedness for disaster risk reduction based on Thailand’s experiences as well as cooperation with other countries facing the disaster in Asia Pacific region.Ahead of the 3WCDRR, Prime Minister Prayuth had the bilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to follow up the topic that both leaders talked during the last visit of Thai Prime Minister to Japan in February such as memorandum of intent on the cooperation on rail system, Dawei special economic zone, Japan-Thailand Economic Partnership Agreement (JTEPA) and also defense cooperation. Moreover, Prime Minister also had bilateral meeting with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and explained about Thailand’s progress in its road map to democracy.
