Thai Minister of Labour paid a courtesy call on Japanese Minister of Health, Welfare and Labour

On 23 March 2015, visiting Thai Minister of Labour, General Surasak  Karnjanarat, paid a courtesy call on  Japanese Minister for Health, Welfare and Labour, Mr. Yasuhisa Shiozaki, to discuss cooperation in the field of labour between the two countries. During the meeting, the Minister Surasak expressed appreciation for program whereby Thai workers are able to gain valuable first-hand experience under the trainee program in Japan. He also expressed the hope that Thailand could also learn more about best practices of the Japanese Government in the field of labour relation between employers and employees. Minister Surasak also took the opportunity to extend an invitation to Minister Shiozaki to pay a visit to Thailand at a mutually convenient date.
