Ambassador paid a courtesy call on Okinawa Governor and Chairman of the Okinawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry

On 1st April 2015, H.E. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan paid a courtesy call on Mr. Takeshi Onaga, Governor of Okinawa Prefecture and Mr. Yukikazu Kokuba, Chairman of the Okinawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Both sides discussed ways and means to further strengthen cooperation between Thailand and Okinawa, especially in the fields of economic, social and culture. Okinawa Prefecture and Thailand had long and cordial relations for more than 600 years since Ayutthaya era. We share many common ways of living and economic condition. Okinawa Prefecture wishes that the Thai government would help to promote tourism industry between two countries as well as to establish sister city relationship with Phuket.
