Prime Minister attended the 7th Mekong Japan Summit

During 2 - 4 July 2015, Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of Thailand, and his delegation visited Tokyo to attend the 7th Mekong Japan Summit aimed to enhance regional development.In this regard, the Prime Minister of Thailand had bilateral meeting with the Japanese Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Shinzo Abe, and took the opportunity to express his gratitude for Japan’s contribution to develop infrastructure and rail system in Thailand. The Thai Prime Minister also emphasized that Thailand sees the importance of enhancing connectivity in the region and developing human resources in industrial sector.In addition, both sides also discuss potential cooperation on agricultural products, especially those with high demand in the Japanese market, such as processed pork and sugar. They also expressed their appreciation that the foreign ministers of both nations agreed to sign the Memorandum of Intent on the cooperation in agricultural products between both sides.
