2013.01.27-28 Thai student won the prize from MOA Children’s Art Exhibition

Miss Kanthida Kamklong, a Thai student currently studying in the 6th grade of Banthaisamakkhi Elementary School in Sakaeo province, won the Japanese Foreign Minister’s prize at the 24th MOA Children’s Art Exhibition organised by the MOA Art and Cultural Foundation. The award presenting ceremony was held at the MOA Museum of Art, in Atami town, Shizuoka prefecture on 27 January 2013. The contest in Thailand was held in cooperation with Rangsit Science Centre for Education and the MOA Thai Foundation. Three 3 pieces of art by Thai students were sent to the international contest for the final selection, along with more than 450,000 pieces of art sent from all over the world. The final selections are exhibited at the MOA Museum of Art during 1 January - 20 February 2013.

On this occasion, on 28 January 2013, Ambassador Thanatip Upatising welcomed and hosted the luncheon at the residence for Miss Kanthida, Miss Chantip Sintuwongsanon, Deputy Director of Rangsit Science Centre for Education, Office of the Non-Formal and Informal Education, Ministry of Education, as well as the representatives from MOA Museum of Art and MOA Thai Foundation.

The MOA Art and Cultural Foundation is one of the main pillars of the MOA Association (Mokichi Okada Association), i.e. Okada Purifying Therapy, Nature Farming and the Arts and Culture Operations. The main activities of the Foundation are the operation of the MOA Museum of Art, the Hakone Museum of Art and the International Children’s Art Exhibition in which Thai students have won prizes in recent years. At present, MOA has its branches in 13 countries including the MOA Thai Foundation which was established on 18 December 1989.
