2013.02.01 Dinner for Kanda University of International Studies lecturers and Japanese university candidates of 7th Thai Speech Contest

On 1 February 2013, Ambassador Thanatip Upatising hosted a dinner at the Residence for Mr. Koichi Minagawa, Department of Asian Language Associate Professor, Mrs. Supaporn Shigetomi and Mrs. Pornsri Wright, Thai Language lecturers from the same department, and Japanese university students who participated in the 7th Thai Speech Contest.  The Ambassador pointed out that students who understand both Japanese and Thai are important forces to develop better relations between the two countries.

The speech contest was jointly held by the Royal Thai Embassy and Kanda University of International Studies on 15 December 2012.  Students from Kanda University of International Studies, Osaka University, Keio University, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, and Utsunomiya University gave speeches under the topic “Hope” at the contest.
