2013.04.07 Royal Thai Embassy organized mobile consular services at Gunma Prefecture.

On 7 April 2013, the Royal Thai Embassy organized mobile consular services at Wat Phra Dhammakaya (Phra Dhammagaya Temple), Gunma Prefecture.

Wat Phra Dhammakaya allowed the Embassy to use its facility for this consular services. Thais residing in nearby areas came to apply for new passports and receive consultations concerning their living in Japan by the Embassy’s consular officials and the Thai Network in Japan (TNJ) volunteers. The Office of Labor in Japan also dispatched an official to provide advice and consultation for Thai workers in the area. Moreover, Dr. Takashi Sawada hold a free medical clinic for preliminary check-up and consultation.
