2013.04.17 Karumai Secondary School in Iwate visited Embassy

On 17 April 2013, five students of grade 9 from Karumai Secondary School in Iwate Prefecture who visited the Royal Thai Embassy were welcomed by Minister Singtong Lapisatepun.

Such visit was a part of their workplace visit activities during their school trip.  Since the Great East Japan Earthquake, the school has encouraged students to receive disaster restoration education. During their visit to the embassy, the students, therefore, learned about the damage caused by the Sumatra earthquake and tsunami, which hit the southern part of Thailand, and Thailand’s humanitarian assistance to Japan during the Great East Earthquake, as well as the work and roles of diplomats.
