2013.06.30 Ambassador joined food event by Yum! Yam! SOUL SOUP KITCHEN

On 30 June 2013, Ambassador Thanatip Upatising joined the event “Local Food Activities x International Cultural Exchange” organized by a Japanese NPO, Yum! Yam! SOUL SOUP KITCHEN.  It adapted Thai cuisine to the available local vegetables and other agricultural products and offered the guests to taste.  Thai fruit carving was also demonstrated in the event, where approximately 120 people participated.

The Ambassador delivered words of appreciation towards the group, which has played an important role in promoting the two countries’ relations through food cultures.

The group was established by the Japanese who are interested in Thailand. It has organized Thai-Japan exchange activities through cooking original Thai dishes to introduce Thai food in their locality for 10 years now.
