2013.10.21 Ambassador met with METI Vice-Minister

On 21 October 2013, Ambassador Thanatip Upatising met with Mr. Norihiko Ishiguro, Vice-Minister for International Affairs, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, who succeeded the position in June 2013.
Vice-Minister Ishiguro pointed out that there are many Japanese firms investing in and using Thailand as the hub to expand their business into other ASEAN countries. Ambassador showed gratitude on this and mentioned that Thailand resembles the second home to Japanese firms. Both sides agreed to closely work together to strengthen economic and business relations of the two countries.
