2013.11.18 Dinner Reception for Thai Women’s Volleyball Team

On 16 November 2013, H.E. Mr. Thanatip Upatising and his spouse as well as diplomats welcomed Thai women’s national volleyball team, coaches and officers from Thailand Volleyball Association, together with press from Thailand, at the Ambassador’s Residence.  The team came to Japan during 12-17 November 2013 to participate in the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup 2013.  Ambassador hosted a dinner reception for them to encourage the team for the tournament in Tokyo.  The competition is held once every 4-year, in the year after the Olympic Games, and this years’s competition was the 6^th one. Thailand joined the tournament as the continental champion from Asia and became the 5^th of the rank with 4 points from 1 win and 4 losses.
