On 10 December 2013, Minister Singtong Lapisatepun and Minister-Counsellor Pattarat Hongtong gave a lecture on “Japanese society, culture, administration, and law structure” for Bangkok Metropolitan Administration visiting group at the Royal Thai Embassy’s Hall. The group of 45 members, led by Miss Suwannee Pusuwan, Legal Officer, Senior Professional Level (Adviser) of the Legal and Litigation Office of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, is on its study visit in Japan during 8-14 December 2013, to learn about metropolitan administrative law development and capacity building.
Minister shared information on the Japanese’s way of life, value, and characteristics as well as history, which all contribute to the Japanese’s sense of responsibility, discipline, and unity, making Japan a strong nation today. At the same time, Minister-Counsellor addressed strong ties of Thailand and Japan, especially in economic area, while stressing the significance of preserving Thailand’s preferable image in Japan to prevent any uncertainty in the two countries’ relations. The visiting group paid good attention to the lecture and raised a question about the Japanese’s attitude towards Thais.
